Why is the Brites shutting down? Because Galapagos Finch = Robert Marks
Well, here's a nice to-do. There is strong evidence that Galapagos Finch, humorist* at Uncommon Descent and theBrites.org, is really Robert Marks, allegedly persecuted Intelligent-Design-friendly engineering professor at Baylor University. OlegT at After the Bar Closes teased us to find a link until the following file was identified from Marks's Baylor website:

Earlier in the day, Galapagos Finch posted something to Uncommon Descent that linked to a PDF document. Unfortunately for him, he forgot to strip the identifiers:
There's nothing wrong with academics blogging. But anonymity enabled Galapagos Finch's (or rather, Robert Marks's) obnoxiousness and poor taste. Further, Marks and Dembski have made a point of painting Marks as a martyr and a productive scholar. Nobody can look at the GF materials and think that's a good use of time.
*Galapagos Finch is a "humorist" in the same sense as Denyse O'Leary is a "writer."

You know you commented at UD that you intend to be on the winning side (at the same time telling everyone to tone down the religious output), Can you honestly see ID going anywhere other than to the dusbin of history now? The fact that Marks has shut the site down shows that he is embarrassed to have that content associated with his real name.
Now that we suspect Robert Marks is Galapagos Finch, who the hell is Hermagoras and why must he also use an alias?
Let me explain why people use aliases. It is because they are terribly insecure about their own positions and are unwilling to put their names to their statements, a problem I don't have. A comment from an unknown source is both cowardly and meaningless and should be treated with contempt.
Also what is this crap about Dembski finally wising up and ridding UD of David Springer, the biggest bully in the history of cyberdumb? Let us pray that it is true.
